Who should complete this form?

During the canvass period, a single member of the household can complete and sign the form on behalf of the other occupants. However, they must ensure that all details are correct and check whether the other members of the houseful want to 'opt out' of the 'edited register'.

People living in rented accomodation

This also applies to tenants in rented accomodation as the form is for the people living in that property meaning it is your responsibility as the occupier to complete the form and send it back to us for processing; not your landlord's.

Remember too, that if you are staying there for a short period, you should contact us again when you move, to make sure that your details are kept up-to-date on the Register.

Rolling registration

It is possible for you to register at any time throughout the year; however, outside of the canvassing period (from December to early August) each individual must sign their own application.
