Report a breach of planning control
Please note that anonymous reports will not normally be investigated. If you do not want to submit your details please approach your parish clerk or ward member for them to report the alleged breach in their professional capacity.
Alleged Changes of Use
Where a report relates to an alleged unauthorised change of use, ie a business operating from a residential property, you will be expected to maintain and submit a diary of evidence covering a minimum period of three weeks using the observation log. This should record dates, times, activities observed and any other relevant information that assists in demonstrating the alleged unauthorised use.
Operational Development
Where a report relates to building works, engineering operations or other physical development, you will be expected to provide:
· Clear and recent photographs of the alleged breach.
· Photographs showing the wider context of the site and surrounding area.
· Measurements where possible and safe to obtain.
· Any supporting plans, documents or information that may assist officers in assessing the complaint.
Enforcement investigations are evidence-led and that the quality of information submitted directly affects our ability to assess whether a breach of planning control may have occurred. Your enquiry may not be investigated until this information is provided.
