Only use this form to apply for a secondary school place for September 2026 if your child is living in West Northamptonshire and is currently in:
- Year 6 in a primary or junior school
or
- Year 8 in a middle school (outside of West Northamptonshire)
or
- Year 9 at secondary and wants to transfer to year 10 at a University Technical College (UTC)
If none of these apply and you want to apply for a school place for your child for the current school year, you should apply for an in-year place.
Supplementary information forms (SIF)
You may need to complete an additional form which needs to be returned directly to the school. Please check which schools require additional application forms.
How we deal with multiple applications
If you choose to submit multiple applications, the latest dated application will be accepted and processed, and previous applications will be disregarded.
If you have already received an offer of a school place and choose to submit an additional application, you will not be contacted if a place is available at one of the new preferred schools to ask if you want to take this place instead of the original school place. The new place will automatically be allocated to your child and any original allocated place will be cancelled. You will be advised of the outcome of your application by email.
If you change your mind about an application you have made, please email admissions@westnorthants.gov.uk to advise this, providing your child’s full name, date of birth, and details of the application you wish to withdraw.
Please note: Late applications are not dealt with until our second round of allocations (and subsequent rounds) beginning April 2026.
