Apply for a non-powered water sport permit

Please complete this form to apply for limited unsupervised use of the Daventry Country Park Reservoir for non-powered water sports including, but not limited to, stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, and kayaking. Permits are £17 per participant per season (April to October).

Before you begin, you will need:

  • evidence of liability insurance to upload to this form
  • evidence of a membership with British Canoeing, Water Skills Academy, or British Stand Up Paddleboarding Association (BSUPA) (if applicable)
  • a payment card to make payment of £17 at the end of the application

About the reservoir

Participants under 17 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult. Participants are required to use their own equipment including buoyancy aids and must be able to swim a minimum of 50m.

The reservoir can form blue-green algae and participants must not enter the water until advised it is safe again following testing by the Canal and River Trust.
