The Crisis and Resilience Fund offers one‑off support to residents facing a sudden and unforeseen event that creates an immediate risk to their health, safety, or basic living conditions. Examples include fire, flood, sudden loss of income, emergency health‑related costs, or an unexpected discharge from supported accommodation. For the purposes of this support, long‑term financial hardship or general unaffordability on their own do not meet the definition of a crisis.
Before you begin, please make sure you have read the information on our to understand when we can and cannot provide support. All applications require a telephone call from our team so we can discuss your situation and identify the most appropriate type of help.
This form can be completed by you or on behalf of someone else. It is for anyone aged 16 or over, who lives full‑time in West Northamptonshire, and who cannot afford the essential costs that have arisen directly from the crisis
Please ensure you have all necessary documents ready before you start, as the form cannot be saved and returned to later. You will need:
- Evidence of the crisis – please refer to our for more information (such as a crime reference number, evidence of heating oil, employer letter, insurance documents, or medical evidence)
- Bank statements for the last 3 months
- Recent payslips or a tax return, depending on how you are paid
- Your National Insurance number
- Details of any benefits or other income
You can upload photos, screenshots or scanned copies of your documents. You may find it easier to complete the form on a computer, and free computer access is available at your local library. If you need help to complete the form or upload documents, you can contact Customer Services or visit a One Stop Shop or library, where staff can assist you.
